Half Moon Bay's Turning Points
A clear, readable presentation of the history of one of California’s most charming communities - The Half Moon Bay Coastside communities (south of San Francisco). — The town developed around an historic house that is still in existence. This historic building was built by a famous figure, Mr. Zaballa, the town’s first merchant. He was savvy in developing real estate, and deeply involved in the layout of the streets and blocks that are today’s downtown business district. Spanishtown, as it was called at the time, was but a small part of the wide stage that saw the beginning of a commercial explosion forming today’s California.
From the local Native-Americans and the Spanish explorers through the Gold Rush, railroads, agriculture and technology has become a modern yet quaint little town!

The author, Dave Cresson, longtime resident and entrepreneur, provides new insights as he guides you through local history and its significance.
