Half Moon Bay History Association
Celebrating the Legacies of the Coastside
Diorama
A U.S. Coastal Survey was made in 1861.

It showed the locations and the shapes of the footprints of all the buildings in old Half Moon Bay.

Historians have studied what those buildings were used for, and what they may have looked like (There were very few pictures made of them at the time).

The History Association has engaged the most highly skilled model builders to develop a diorama with models of each building. Together, it shows a concept of what 1861 Half Moon Bay looked like.

See the diorama. It is in the "History Room" of the Zaballa House - 324 Main St., HMB
