Jail Museum Anniversary
June 15 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
In June of 2018, the Half Moon Bay History Association opened a small museum in the old city jail. Since then, visitors have enjoyed the amazing artifacts and interesting educational materials exhibited at this historic site.
Built in 1919 on a lot purchased from John Higgins, the Half Moon Bay Jail contained two cells and operated as a jail until 1967. Festivities will highlight its long and colorful history.
Please join the festivities planned to honor this milestone and to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the building of the jail. Music, food, adult and children’s activities will take place from 1p.m. to 4 p.m. on the Jail Museum grounds at 505 Johnston Street in Half Moon Bay.
