The Half Moon Bay History Association is pleased to present a special event featuring Dave Cresson. He is the past president and founder of the association. Cresson will focus on how Coastside property and land issues were sorted out during Mexican rule. Four land grants were the most interesting and important to our Coastside.

Ohlone-Portolá Heritage Trail

The San Mateo Parks Department is collaborating with county, state and federal agencies and tribal representatives, to develop a trail system that will recognize 10,000 years of the Ohlone peoples in San Mateo County, follow the footsteps of the Portolá expedition into Alta California, and document the discovery of the San Francisco Bay by the Spanish. Join the Half Moon Bay History Association in exploring Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park during its 147th Anniversary Celebration. On November 16, 2019, Pigeon Point has more to celebrate than ever! Recently, over $9 million was allocated in state funds for restoration of the historic lighthouse tower.
